Director Mari Selvaraj's 'Bison Kaalamaadan', starring Dhruv Vikram, Pasupathy, Lal and Ameer, is a solid sports drama set against the backdrop of village and caste politics. With brilliant performances and a hard-hitting commentary, the film is yet another worthy addition to Mari Selvaraj's filmography.

A skeleton of a bison (kaalamaadan in Tamil) plays a metaphorical role in director Mari Selvaraj’s ‘Bison’. In the climax, the closing shot of Kittan holding the skeleton underwater holds immense power. That’s what ‘Bison: Kaalamaadan’ is all about – channelling the rage and strength of an animal that refuses to be tamed.
